Black Bear Tavern to open in new downtown Atlanta area

The Black Bear Restaurant Group has announced plans to open a new downtown restaurant and bar on the grounds of the former Brookhaven Brewery.

The restaurant is scheduled to open by the end of 2019.

Black Bear is a former dive bar and pub located at the corner of Broadway and West Monroe Street.

The pub has operated in Brookhaven since 1867.

The Black Bear Group’s plan is to have four locations.

The first is in downtown Atlanta, the second is in a new building on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, the third is in the newly opened Greenbelt neighborhood of Atlanta, and the fourth will be in an old warehouse in the Buckhead area.

The group’s new location will include a bar, a rooftop bar, outdoor patio and outdoor dining space.

The new location is in an area where a number of existing businesses, including the Black Bear and Black Bear Brewing Co., are located.

The group has leased space from Brookhaven Brewing Co. for the space and is in talks with the property’s owners about leasing additional space for the group, said Dave Shanks, a partner in the Black Bears restaurant group.

The Buckhead site is just over a block away from the Brookhaven location.

The Buckhead location, which will also feature a rooftop patio, is expected to open this year.

Shanks said the group was considering the Buckyard site but decided to go with the Brookside location because the Buckworth site was close enough.

The brewery has operated at the Brookstock location for about 15 years and is planning to reopen it in 2019.

The company was founded in 2002.
