Hunter and friend hunt for missing Queensland woman

Hunter and a friend have set out to find their missing Queensland girl, who went missing on Saturday.

Police say a member of the Hunter family has called them to offer help in the search for her daughter.

They are asking anyone who saw a man with a gun at the Bolton Tavern on Saturday afternoon to come forward.

“The fact that this individual has contacted police in the past 24 hours, he has made a promise that he is going to come in to Bolton tomorrow morning and he has done that,” Queensland Police Commissioner Michael Gallacher said.

“So, obviously, we need to know where he is at that time, and so far we’ve been very, very positive and he’s told us where he has been.”

There’s no doubt in my mind that there’s a large amount of people who would like to be able to help in this hunt.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) said the teenager was taken to Brisbane Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was “expected to survive”.
