A gunman has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting at an Ohio college.
According to the Columbus Police Department, 23-year-old Brandon McFarland shot and killed 21-year old Andrew Kasten on Sunday, March 12.
The victim’s mother told ABC News that her son was a sophomore at Ohio State University when he was shot.
The victim’s death was later ruled a homicide.
Police identified McFarman as a suspect in the case, but did not say what charges he faces.
McFarall’s family released a statement on Monday saying that their son, who has a severe mental illness, was a loving father and a loving grandfather.
